J-W Power Company has been involved in natural gas compression since 1966 and currently operates the largest privately-owned compression leasing fleet in the United States. Over time, J-W built a solid reputation for manufacturing effective, durable, and reliable compression equipment.
Having built over 4,000 compressor packages over a forty year span naturally led to being an authority in highly-engineered compressor package design such as the equipment used in compressed natural gas (CNG) applications. J-W Power Company built its first compressor package designed specifically for a CNG application in March 1994 and has manufactured over 20,000 horsepower of CNG packages since that time.
J-W Power Company has built some of the largest horsepower CNG projects in the world and has received recognition by the media, for overcoming some of the toughest regulatory requirements in the country. Providing fuel to a fleet of 2,400 buses, J-W Power Company has consistently met 0.15 grams/HP•HR in California's South Coast Air Quality Management District.
J-W Power Company compressed natural gas packages are available for sale, with or without maintenance. We can provide our customers with station equipment installation assistance and contract maintenance services.
All of J-W Power Company packages are designed with state-of-the-art 3-D modeling software. Standard designs are available or custom-engineered packages can be built to your exact specifications. The Company has the ability to conduct a full load test on every package built using fuel quality gas at its Longview, Texas manufacturing facility while monitoring and recording flow, power, pressures, temperatures, pulsation, vibration, noise levels and air emissions.
